Progress progress progress..
Everything is really starting to come together for the Full Lock or Death XR race bike. MCT Suspension have worked their magic on the 25 year old baggy rear shock.. now it's got a stiffer WP spring, been re-valved so the compression and rebound adjustment actually works instead of just making clicky noises, and the whole unit has been shortened by 1 1/2" to lower the rear ride height.
I can feel the difference just sitting on it, can't wait to get it on the track.. those pogo stick highsides should be a thing of the past. Can't recommend MCT highly enough, they did a great job quickly and were a lot cheaper than buying a new shock.
I've now dropped off the bike to my title sponsor ProJection Components, who are making up the exhaust and finishing my seat pan. I pick it up next Saturday, really really excited! I've had a couple of teaser pics of the seat pan under construction..
While my bike's away I've started on the tank. I've finally got the heavily dented dt175 tank in reasonable shape.. time for paint!
Also watch this space for the 2012 Full Lock or Death team t-shirts coming soon!
